Feeling Overwhelmed? Feeling Down on Yourself? Don’t Be, You Could Be in Grad School Right Now
Is your life not going the way you wanted it to go? Are you feeling down on yourself? Does everything just seem so hard? Well, your feelings are valid, but look at the bright side; you’re not in grad school.
Whether you graduated from college, high school, or neither, you are done with school. That means no assignments, no tests, and no kids in the classroom raising their hands to ask if they can write their names on the test. Your job might be the worst, but when you get home, there’s a good chance that you don’t have to worry about work for the rest of the night. You can save that for the morning.
When people in grad school get home from class, they have to start studying for the upcoming test. And then after that test, they get to go back home and start studying for the next test. And then the one after that. Not to mention they have to pay to be there. If you can’t afford tuition out of pocket – name someone who can – then you have to take out loans. People in grad school can’t expect loan forgiveness either, thanks Joe Biden.
Imagine being 30 and being in grad school. Can’t do it? That’s because you know that you wouldn’t have the energy to do it at 30. You know that’s for the young and unbroken, and yet, there are people who are 30 and older and still in grad school. There are people who are married with kids and who are still in grad school. You might be married with kids too, but at least you don’t have to worry about your own homework assignment due at midnight.
So, if you’re feeling down on yourself, just remember that there are people out there who are worried about their participation grade in a class and that you aren’t one of them. Unless of course, you work for Twitter, then you better start participating immediately.
