Florida Woman Is Suing Kraft Heinz for Misleading Advertising, Says They Know Damn Well it Takes Longer than 3.5 Minutes to Prepare Microwaveable Mac & Cheese

FLORIDA – In a lawsuit that could only come out of Florida, a woman is suing Kraft Heinz for misleading advertising on their Velveeta microwaveable mac and cheese cups. “There is no way in hell I would’ve bought an 8-pack of mac and cheese cups for $10.99 if I had known that they wouldn’t actually take 3.5 minutes to prepare,” explained Amanda Ramirez, who claimed in her 15-page class-action lawsuit that Kraft Heinz sells their product at a higher price compared to similar products on the false promise that they take less time to prepare. “I mean, don’t they know that it takes more than just microwaving to make their mac and cheese? I literally have to add water, stir, and wait for the cheese to thicken. That’s basically cooking and that is not what I signed up for.” Ramirez is seeking more than $5 million in damages, such as reparations for the 30 minutes of her life that have been wasted preparing the cups of mac and cheese. At press time, a Kraft Heinz representative said that Ramirez was a “fool” for trusting a corporation as big as they are to stand by its word.
