Grandfather Who Just Wanted to See his Football Team Win One Last Time Dies During Allstate Commercial

TEXAS – The end was near for Wilbur Pratt, he knew that, but he was happy all the same because his last day on this Earth would be his favorite day: Football Sunday. His lifelong team, the Minnesota Vikings, was up against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills and Wilbur knew that he could die a happy man if he could see his team win one last time. Then, Mayhem showed up. An Allstate commercial aired right before the Vikings and the Bills were about to go into overtime, the 12th insurance commercial of the game, and, unfortunately, Wilbur couldn’t hold on any longer. He passed away surrounded by family. “He loved his team so damn much, if only he had been insured against Mayhem. Maybe he could’ve lived to see the Vikings win,” said Wilbur’s son, Colton Pratt, as he held back tears.
