Chrisley Does NOT Know Better, Todd and Julie Sentenced to Years in Prison for Bank Fraud and Tax Evasion
ATLANTA – The stars of a show that no one really knew what it was even about, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were sentenced to years in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion. The couple was handed hefty prison sentences, with Todd receiving 12 years and Julie 7 years.
The couple evaded tax authorities for years and were somehow able to hide their wealth while simultaneously being the stars of the hit reality TV show, “Chrisley Knows Best”, on which they flaunted their luxurious lifestyle. “I’ll be honest, I never watch the USA Network. I always preferred Lifetime because they have “Dance Moms.” Had we known about their show sooner, we might have been able to bring them to trial earlier than we did,” said IRS agent Ron Flannigan.
The Chrisley’s filed false tax documents to hide the wealth they accrued from the show and were able to secure more than $30 million in fraudulent loans, declaring bankruptcy to avoid repaying them. They are also guilty of asking friends and family to lie under oath and showed no remorse for their actions. “We brought a lot of joy to American households with our show, especially the ones who had too much time on their hands,” said Todd Chrisley after the sentencing hearing. At press time, the IRS announced that it would be launching an internal investigation into how the hell they missed something like this.
