Shooter Of UnitedHealthcare CEO Has Been Arrested And Charged With Murder

NEW YORK CITY, NY — Luigi Mangione, a 26-year-old tech enthusiast who holds a Masters degree and was the valedictorian of his high school, is now the prime suspect in the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson that occurred in Midtown Manhattan last week.

Police arrested Mangione in a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania on Monday after an employee told authorities that they recognized Mangione from the memes that have been circulating on social media.

The arresting officers said that they found fake identification, a ‘ghost gun’ that matched the weapon used in the shooting, and a three-page manifesto detailing Mangione’s grievances with the healthcare industry.

The ‘Mafia-style hit’ that would’ve made Tony Soprano himself proud is now being investigated as an uncharacteristic attack committed by a privileged kid, whose family said that he has recently estranged himself from them and his friends.

HBO has since taken the opportunity to remind the public that all six seasons of The Sopranos are included with a subscription to their streaming service, MAX.
