THE WORST PERSON YOU KNOW WENT TO THE PROTEST THIS WEEK
UT AUSTIN –Student protests erupted on university campuses across the country this week to express their solidarity with Gaza in the Israel-Palestine conflict.
University presidents and state governors called on law enforcement to quell the demonstrators, resulting in the arrest of hundreds of students, further exacerbating the rising tensions surrounding the country’s support of Israel.
To make matters worse, the worst person that you know attended the protest and won’t stop talking about it.
You were in utter disbelief when the article that you were reading had a picture of the guy you hate, Santos Duran, in a standoff with the police.
The next time that you saw him, he immediately started rambling to you about his heroic actions that day.
“Yeah, I was there. A couple of cops roughed me up and I spent a night in jail, no big deal,” gloated Duran, smiling to an imaginary audience.
A disapproving frown cracked across Santos’ face when you told him that you did not attend the protest and after a long, awkward pause, he reiterated to you that he did attend the protest.
