Aging Mask Has Gotten To The Point Where It’s More Concerned About Saving Its Life, Not Yours
MASKLANDIA – How long should someone wear a mask and at what point is it no longer safe to wear the same one again? One mask said that its expiration date has long been overdue and said that the only life it will be saving from now on is its own.
“My owner has been wearing me consistently every day for six months now. Six months. I mean, just look at me,” said the exasperated mask, which looked as if it had been smeared in mud, the straps holding on by a thread.
Researchers say that mask efficiency varies but do advise that the user should not reuse the same mask for more than a week, as they are probably no longer effective against contaminants.
“I should be enjoying my retirement by now, floating in the ocean under the sun. The only life I’m worried about saving right now is my own.”
