Biden Rehearses Several “Back In My Day” Spiels for Tonight’s State Of The Union Address
WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden will deliver his second State of the Union address tonight and in advancement of the big event, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre released a statement describing just how diligently the President has been rehearsing the numerous “back in my day” spiels in his speech.
“This news should instill a vote of confidence from the American people. Our President, with all his decades of public service experience, will be taking time tonight to help our citizens remember how things used to be in this country, back in his day, with the hope that things can still be that way if we continue to trust in our democracy.”
Biden has been in public office for over 50 years to be exact, and was first sworn into the United States Senate in January of 1973 . To provide reader’s with context, these are some of the historical events that occurred back in “Biden’s Day” since he took office:

1975: The Vietnam War ended

With five-decades of material to choose from and with the expectation that the President will officially announce his campaign for reelection, adding another 4 years to his career in public service , it is difficult to say just how many “back in my day” stories the American public can expect, today, and in the future.
