Investigators Confirm That The Last Thing Said Before Losing Contact With Missing Submarine Was, “Give Me The Controller, You’re Doing It All Wrong.”

WASHINGTON – As the deep-sea search continues for OceanGate’s Titan – the missing submersible that vanished while diving towards the wreckage of the infamous Titanic – investigators have confirmed with the public that an argument ensued between passengers on the submarine shortly before it lost contact with its support ship.

It appears that, before all contact was lost with the vessel, the instigator in the argument told the pilot to, quote, “Give me the controller, you’re doing it all wrong,” in a manner that closely resembles how an older brother would address a younger sibling,” said U.S. Coast Guard Capt. Jamie Frederick in a press conference early Wednesday morning.

CEO Stockton Rush, the founder of the deep-sea exploration and tourism company, OceanGate Inc., and reportedly one of the five missing passengers of the Titan expedition, confirmed that the Titan is controlled by an ‘inexpensive video game controller’ in an interview with CBC last year.

While investigators only speculate that the argument over the game controller had something to do with the disappearance of Titan, a former employee of OceanGate who was fired for pointing out safety concerns on the vessel said that such an argument like this one was not uncommon at the company.

“It was like going back in time to when you were a kid playing video games with your friends or siblings,” said David Lochridge, a submarine pilot who was fired from OceanGate in 2018.

“Somebody would always get frustrated and would claim that they could control the ship better. I one time saw [Stockton] throw the controller at someone for questioning his playing style.”
