Saudi Arabia Grants Lionel Messi and the Argentina National Team Citizenship because, After Today, Saudi is their Fatherland Now

QATAR – In a game they are calling the biggest upset in World Cup history, Saudi Arabia, ranked 51st in the World, defeated #3 Argentina 2-1 in the first game of their group. After an early penalty kick from Lionel Messi that put Argentina up 1-0, the Saudis were able to score two goals and come back to win the game thanks to terrific saves from their goalkeeper, Mohammed Alowais.

Shortly after the game, King Salman announced that he would be granting the entire Argentine football team roster citizenship. “Saudi Arabia is their daddy now, and we wanted to make sure that the players are free to roam their new fatherland with ease,” said the King. At press time, King Salman invited Argentina President Alberto Fernández to visit his country and renegotiate the terms for their oil exportation.
